It’s 10:51 am and I just finished some microwaved potatoes and gravy from last night’s dinner. Got a bunch of paperwork done this morning also because I have plenty of time today.
Only problem is this; my husband just got back from town and practically busted in the door exclaiming “Is this Thanksgiving?”
Ooops.
Last time we did this we celebrated a week too early. Happy Thanksgiving?
Time to run to Safeway. Hoping there are some turkeys left.
We had to cook up our turkeys (two of them actually) when our upright freezer decided “enough was enough”, near the beginning of September. Talk about a rushed ordeal —
ps… we were able to save most of the frozen foods, except the dogs, and goats (the pig too) did get to eat a bit better for a few days. While everything was not salvageable – the turkeys were. We were so full of turkey, today is all about ham. 😆

It was almost spaghetti until my husband ran to town for a chicken. I’m making stuffing out of Corn Chex.

While turkey is traditional, the best part about Thanksgiving – is the togetherness.
You had that, and that’s what really mattered.
